I saw this as being a quintessential New England WInter scene complete with Christmas light lit house, snowman sled with tree in the door yard as well as candy canes marking the front entrance to the home and of course, had to have some sheep there too! The addition of the northern lights swirl in the sky was a touch of Terrye French genius!

I found this old metal coffee pot and immediately thought this needs to be painted with gingerbread men and candy canes!  So merry and bright!  This is my original design and is a quick and easy project.  I like to think this will become a cherished piece handed down through the years.  I found the coffee pot ata  yard sale and have seen plenty out and about at junk shops, thrift shops and recycle shops.  I have included a recipe for the cinnamon appleauce ornaments that I attached to the top.  I had fun painting this and hope you do too!  Please note...once painted, the coffee pot is for decorative purposes only.

I wanted to design a piece that would be good to display all winter long with snowmen, icicles, and snowflakes. I painted a trio of snowmen rather than overwhelming the teapot as I wanted the snowflakes to be an important part of the design as well. It was fun to design and even more fun to paint. Lots of little details (I love details!). I hope you have fun painting this!  This design will fit on many different sizes of tea pots as the snowmen figures can be easily moved.

Oh...now I know what makes it snow, snow angels! My Snow Angel works the night shift and flies over the countryside and forests waving her magic wand leaving snow behind. I painted this angel on an old kettle I found in an upscale junk yard and grabbed it. She could be painted on so many other surfaces.

This was such a fun piece to design and paint!

I love metal cake covers, don't know why, but I just do.  I love the fact that they can double as a cover for the cake as well as a seasonal or year-round decoration.  

The Aurora Borealis Cake Cover was an idea I came up with that would be more than a suitable decoration for both the entire Winter Season as well as the Holidays.  The cake cover has a lovely combination of reindeer, snow-filled night sky, a concentric aurora borealis on the top, glittery snowflakes and snow-covered evergreen trees all topped with a snow-dipped pinecone with glitter for the handle.  

This was just such a fun and festive cake cover to design and paint and I hope it gives you joy to paint it!

This piece came directly out of my childhood memory of the night before Christmas when our Mom would read this wonderful book to us right before bedtime.  I found this wonderful surface that looked like a stamp to me and thought it would be just perfect. The surface is a wood composite. The house mouse is all tucked in with presents and popcorn under his bead and through the mouse hole to the living room you can see that everything is all ready for Santa to come down the chimney.  Looks like the house mouse also helped himself to a bite of cookie!  This was a fun piece to create and I hope it brings happy memories to you as well!

A starlit winter’s evening with a full moon shining down upon a quaint New England village with lots of snow and a stray whale cruising by…..the idea of this cooled me right down (was a very hot day).  One of the benefits of designing and painting for me is that I get to escape into my own little world. I was inspired to design these ornaments after hearing one of the songs from the Sound of Music, My Favorite Things, written by Richard Rodgers.   I decided to use the star cut out shapes as they are readily available and usually very low cost.  The front and back of each star is painted and stenciled which is a feature I really like – an extra step, but really nice!

Is this the cutest ornament ever or what?  The snowie is doing something I am sure everyone who has ever experienced snow has tried... to catch a snowflake on their tongue!  I saw them and had to make them.  Each ornament is sculpted out of air dry clay, painted, sealed, glittered with snow to within an inch of its existence and then an eye screw and ornament hanger installed.  These are designed by Nichola Battilana, a wonderful clay artist.  The ornament are shipped in a 4x4x4 inch box with a hanger so it are ready to put up on the tree!  This would make such a wonderful gift for someone who collects ornaments, for anyone who loves snow and snowy items or anyone who likes to smile.

This soap looks like a folded leaf...seriously!  It has a melt and pour base, Wild Current Sandalwood Fragrance oil, ecological gold glitter sprinkled on top and colored with a mix of two greens to get this wonderful shade!  It weighs 4.2 ounces.  All of my melt and pour soaps are shrink wrapped to keep them sealed until used.  I have tested all the soaps and all are wonderful!  As I stated on the back of the soap, all of my soaps are made with LOTS OF LOVE!
