Are you ready for a younger, slimmer and trimmer Santa Claus? This is how I pictured Old St. Nick back when he was a wood gatherer. It was a fun concept and I loved every minute of the adventure. This piece has a few components - check border, hand painted felt pennies on the bottom, snowflake background and then there is Santa. He is wearing a wooly burgundy red knit hat with a pompon and matching mittens, green jacket with fur trim, blue wool slacks, black workboots with fur trim, wooden walking stick and wool sack stuffed with logs!
Measurements: Approximately 12 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches wide. An attached hemp cord is provided for hanging.

Terrye French, one of the greatest primitive artists, formed a group called Painting with Friends. Shortly before she passed, I was allowed to join this illustrious group. As a member of this group, I was given one of Terrye's rough sketches and asked to "flesh it out" and add to her fabulous design. I added some components to make it mine and used the colors I envisioned with the piece. This is the original sample and is truly a one-of-a-kind.
