The soap mold I used is such a wonder.  It really looks like a folded leaf from all sides.  Truly a wonder!  I used a rusty red and dusted the edges with gold mica powder.  The soap is made with detergent free shea butter melt and pour soap base, wild currant sandalwood fragrance oil, merlot sparkle mica colorant and dusted with gold sparkle mica powder on the edges and of course, LOTS OF LOVE!  Each folded leaf soap is hermetically sealed for freshness and weighs 4 ounces.

Another lovely soap mold that I just had to have.  I love the way it turned out with the gold dusted acorn, green dusting and gold dusted oak leaf.  Such fun to make!  This soap is made with goat milk melt and pour soap base with a few coloring agents of green, merlot, brown, crimson red wine, orange sparkle and dark gold sparkle.  The soap was scented with autumn spice fragrance oil was used and of course, it was made with LOTS OF LOVE!  Each bar is hermetically wrapped and weighs approximately 3 ounces.

I think the little red truck craze is still with us!  This is the cutest mold and it worked out great!  I wonder if this soap would encourage a little boy to wash his hands more often?This is made with clear melt and pour soap base, Santa's Tree Farm fragrance oil, Fire red mica colorant and LOTS OF LOVE!  Each soap is hermetically sealed for freshness and weighs approximately 3 ounces.

I saw this soap and thought it was just amazing! The swirls were so colorful from the light clear orange to the white to the ultra coppery tones!  Then it is scented with a mix of cardamom and cedar with a little bit of cinnamon!  This soap is made with sorbitol, sodium cocoate, propylene glycol, sodium stearate, glycerin, butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) seed butter, titanium dioxide, water, Cardamom and Cedar fragrance oil, perfect orange color block, pumpkin powder, ultrasparkle copper mica and LOTS OF LOVE!  Each bar is hermetically sealed and weighs approximately 3.7 ounces

FALL is in the air!  I just noticed the changing of the leaves this week and they are changing every day!  

This soap is inspired by everything Fall - the falling leaves, homemade soup, chili, pumpkins in the fields and gardens, and Halloween as well as Thanksgiving rapidly approaching!  The scent of the bar is enticing - brown sugar and pumpkin and the color reminds me of fresh baked pumpkin pie!

The soap is made of coconut oil, palm oil (self-sustained), olive oil, castor oil, distilled water, lye, pumpkin puree, Brown Sugar Pumpkin fragrance oil and Copper Sparkle mica.  The last ingredient is that each bar of soap is made with lots of love! 

The weight of each bar is approximately 4.5 ounces.

I love to learn different techniques for making soap whether it is melt and pour, cold process or hot process soap.  The method of making soap dough for embeds (which uses a basic cold process recipe but more hands on with smooshing the soap and yes that is how they describe it) and keeping it well wrapped so it does not dry out.  The dough can be formed into components using small molds or large molds and even an extruder to form the soap dough into shapes such as I have used for this hand soap (tiny bats). I have made 2 batches of this soap.  On the first one, the bats were in a row at the bottom of the soap and the other batch the bats decided to move around the soap bar.  I love both styles and cannot take credit for the formation in either soap!

The soap batch is made of olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, lye, distilled water, Pumpkin Cardamom fragrance oil, pumpkin puree, copper sparkle mica, red Moroccan clay, pineapple mica, bat embeds required premade soap dough with black mica colorant and lots of love!

Estimated weight of each bar of soap is 4.4 ounces.  

I have already quite a few of these and have had great reviews and tons of smiles when the bats are seen in the soap!

This is another adventure with soap dough and embeds.  I pictured a dark blue night sky as the back drop with 3 tiny white stars in the sky.  In the center is a big orange pumpkin with 2 shades of green for the stem.  The embeds are premade with soap dough which is made from soap batter and then colored and placed in an air tight container for a few days and then manipulated by introducing heat into the dough which loosens up and becomes malleable to shape.  I was lucky to have a pumpkin mold to premake the pumpkin and then add a formed stem on the top as well as to extrude the 3 white stars.  Both of these embeds go the entire length of the soap loaf and the design is present in most stages of use (there may be a delay for the stars on one side as the embeds sometimes shift but it should appear soon after using the bar.  

The ingredients for this soap are:  Olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil, distilled water, lye, Cardamom Pumpkin fragrance oil; Orange, white, and 2 green micas for coloring.  Each bar is made with lots of love.

Estimated weight of each soap bar is 4.8 ounces.

Oh my goodness, this soap exceeded my expectations and I am so pleased with it!  I was looking for the last soap to complete my Halloween/Fall season and this is the way I wanted to finish up.  In my mind I pictured a jack O'Lantern sitting in the middle of the top of the soap with a Halloweeny color scheme and here we are!  When the soap was first taken out of the soap loaf and cut, I built up the middle of each soap and placed a premade soap dough Jack O'Lantern piece with careful mounding up the pumpkin on all sides while the soap was still soft.  

Then we have the swirls.  I am still learning about swirls and these swirls are so awesome and so fit in with the color scheme and the Jack O'Lanterns.  I am so excited and I hope you are too!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I just received a new mica colorant, called Ectoplasm, and I just love it and could not wait to make some soap with it.  It is a rich turquoise/aqua blue.  I did not want to do just a plain soap bar but I thought a jagged pencil line near the midline would look great.  To me it would be like a finding a vein of copper or gold.  The sparkly copper mica I have was my first choice.   The pencil line looks dark in the photo but it is clearly a shiny copper line! I hope you like my choice!  I left the top of the soap really jagged.  

These bars are made with top quality ingredients. The ingredients used were olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sodium hydroxide, distilled water, mica colorants used were Ectoplasm and Copper Sparkle.  The scent i used was Honey Patchouli fragrance oil and these soap bars are made with LOTS OF LOVE!

Average weight of each soap bar is 4.7 ounces.

Oh my goodness...this is a very special coffee soap - it is a hazelnut scented coffee soap and it is so delicious!  The swirl was just what I was hoping for and to top it all off, there are soap coffee beans and a little bit of biodegradable glitter on top!!

I bet you know someone who is a big coffee fan and maybe even a hazelnut coffee fan!

Each soap I make is infused with LOTS OF LOVE!

This should come as no surprise to anyone but I love sunflowers!  I chose The Sunflower Cupboard as the name of my business and I have painted many many items with sunflowers!  Also, when I had a garden, I planted lots of sunflowers!  

I wanted to make the soap a little extra special so I created a sunflower and leaf out of soap dough which I also made.  

It is scented with Vetiver fragrance oil, which is a complex scent and just lovely!

This soap would be a wonderful gift for a gardener (novice or expert) or of course anyone who just loves sunflowers, teachers, coworkers, family members....they sky is the limit!!  

I live in an apartment now and get compliments on how nice it is to go past my door and enjoy whiffs of whatever soap I have just made and of course, my apartment always is delightfully scented!  

Oh, yes....this is definitely a bakery-inspired soap...carrot cake!  This was a fun piece to work on.  I created the carrots out of homemade soap dough (who knew there was such a thing?).  There is of course a layer of cream cheese frosting on top with a cake layer under that with little specks provided by vanilla bean powder.  The scent is Cinnamon as I always think of carrot cake as being not just yummy but a bit of a scent cinnamon as well.

Soap making has become a passion of mine, not just the many choices for scents but to expand on what soap can look like.  I do love the traditional looking soap but I do love a challenge!  I hope you do too!

I have been making soap for about 10 years now.  I started out making our family's hand soap for years and have been making hand soap to sell in shops and online for a few years now.  I love making soap!  I love trying different techniques, different swirl designs, and have recently added in making soap dough and then crafting items to embellish my soap with soap dough. 

There is no soap dough with this particular soap.  Lavender soap is one of the "old standbys" for the scent alone.  I grew lavender in my garden and saved the lavender buds and thought I would add some buds to the soap as an extra bonus!

Giving soap as a gift is such a wonderful idea especially for a gardener you may know as well as a teacher gift, coworker gift, friend gift, stocking stuffer and the list goes on!

HALLOWEEN IS UPON US ALREADY!  I have been so busy making soap that I lost track of the time.  This is one of my Halloween soaps and I love the swirl so much and the colors!

I have been using one of the samples of this soap and it is to creamy and the lather is amazing!  I would like to say it witch-approved but then I would have to be a witch!
