COLD PROCESS SOAP

Welcome to my Webpage and to my COLD PROCESS SOAP section!

I have been making soap for over 10 years now.  I started out making our family's hand soap and expanded to making hand soap to sell in shops and online.  I love making soap!  I love trying different techniques, different swirl designs and I have recently added making soap dough and crafting items to embellish my soap dough.

Cold process soapmaking method entails mixing lye water with a fat or oil (such as olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil or soap butters such as mango butter, shea butter, etc.).  These substances are mixed together until the "batter" thickens up and the batter is placed into a mold where it is covered with a towel and the soap goes through a gel phase (it heats up) and then cools down after about 1-2 days and the soap is unmolded, cut and placed on a drying rack and turned frequently to cure.  After about 4-6 weeks of curing, it is ready to be used.

Info provided by my experience and from soap makers such as Eden's Garden and The Nova Studio.

PEACH FUZZ COLD PROCESS HAND SOAP

I have been making soap for years.  I started out making our family's hand soap and have been making hand soap to sell in shops and online as well.  I love making soap!  I love trying different techniques, different swirl designs and have recently added in making soap dough and then crafting items to embellish my soap with the soap dough.

There is no soap dough with this particular soap.

This is the first "peach" soap I have ever made.  The color is a soft peach color and the scent is Sicilian Sea Breeze fragrance oil which is delightful!  I have dusted the top of the soap with fine biodegradable glitter and swirled the top of the soap.  The micas used were Racing Stripe Orange and Desert Rose.

I hope you have a "peachy" day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Sea shells, sea shells down by the seashore was buzzing through my tired brain and this is what happened!  I used my regular cold process soap recipe, for the top of the soap (with the shells) and then added vanilla bean powder to create the look of sand as well as a teeny amount of glitter.  I did go back and dust the shells with a brown mica to accentuate the shells.  I really love the way this soap turned out.  I am a "Jersey" girl at heart and going to the beach was always the highlight of my summers.

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to visit anytime as new soap is made and added year round!

I looked over my inventory and was surprised to see that I did not have a "pink" soap.  Well I do now.  It is called "Sparkly Pink" and it is that!  I used my faithful soap batter and added pink mica colorant with some pink biodegradable glitter and swirled the top of the soap.  I love the way it turned out and the scent (which is called Fresh Snow) is one of my favorites for all times of the year!  There is something to be said for simplicity...

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to check in periodically as new soap is added year round!

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH COLD PROCESS HAND SOAP

Welcome to my Webpage and to my COLD PROCESS HAND SOAP section!

I have been making soap for years now.  I started out making our family’s soap and have been making hand soap to sell in shops and online for a few years now.   I love making soap!  I love trying different techniques, different swirl designs, and have recently added in making soap dough and then crafting items to embellish my soap with soap dough.

There are soap dough hearts on top of this particular soap.

Valentine's Day was rapidly approaching and I decided to go big and build a soap around a soap.  The first part was using a heart shaped cylinder mold and filled it with red soap and allowed it to cure.  When it was ready, I added this "heart" to the middle of a 10 inch loaf mold and then added red hearts made of soap dough to the top.

I used my usual recipe for the soap, Fresh Snow fragrance oil (one of my favorites), True Red mica colorant, biodegradable glitter and LOTS OF LOVE!

This soap of course would be perfect for Valentine's Day but oh so special anytime!

SOAPY RED HEARTS COLD PROCESS HAND SOAP

Welcome to my Webpage and to my COLD PROCESS HAND SOAP section!

I have been making soap for years now.  I started out making our family’s soap and have been making hand soap to sell in shops and online for a few years now.   I love making soap!  I love trying different techniques, different swirl designs, and have recently added in making soap dough and then crafting items to embellish my soap with soap dough.

The red hearts on top of the soap are made of soap dough.

I was thinking of keeping the soap simple...white soap with soapy red hearts on top.  I did choose to add biodegradable glitter as well, just because!  Fresh Snow is the scent I chose and, truth be told, it is one of my favorite scents.
